Eden (Brazilian promo CD, custom picture sleeve with Portuguese biography inside PP05322).

Other interesting thing I remember now is that, along with the very synthetic biography (I don’t know even if it’s to be called as this!), there is a announcement that Sarah would be coming to Brazil with the a tour and would have concerts in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro for the first time, in august of 2000. Don’t know if they’re talking about Eden or La Luna tour. That’s very strange and interesting, because these concerts have never happened! Sarah was here just for Eden, La Luna and Harem albums promotion, and her first live performance with a tour finally happened only in 2009, with the In Concert Tour, which I was really happy to attend.

Eden

written by Callier & Callier

originally performed by written by and performed by the Belgium band Hooverphonic, and found on their album Blue Wonder Power Milk.

This song also appears on The Very Best of Sarah Brightman 1990 – 2000

Hooverphonic’s original Version

Did you ever think of me,
As your best friend
Did I ever think of you,
I’m not complaining

I never tried to feel
I never tried to feel
This vibration
I never tried to reach
I never tried to reach
Your eden

Did I ever think of you,
As my enemy
Did you ever think of me,
I’m not complaining

I never tried to feel
I never tried to feel
This vibration.
I never tried to reach
I never tried to reach
Your eden

I never tried to feel
I never tried to…
Your eden

He Moved Through The Fair

This is an Irish folk song.

Only found only on the CD version of the eden 3 track single and on the ever rarer Fly 2 CD.

  He Moved Through The Fair
Music and lyrics: traditional

My young love said to me My mother won’t mind And my father won’t slight you For your lack of kind And he went away from me And this he did say It will not be long now Till our wedding day It will not be long now Till our wedding day It will not be long now Till our wedding day

First of May

Written by Barry, Maurice, and Robin Gibb (The Bee Gees)

This song has been covered by other artists – Tony Hadley from Spandau Ballet and G4, and Blackmore’s Night

Sarah first sung this in Christmas in Vienna concert which was recorded on CD & video VCD, then on her One Night in Eden concert, and finally it was included on her UK / European version of La Luna.

When I was small, and Christmas trees were tall,
we used to love while others used to play.
Don’t ask me why, but time has passed us by,
someone else moved in from far away.
Now we are tall, and Christmas trees are small,
and you don’t ask the time of day.
But you and I, our love will never die,
but guess who’ll cry come first of May.
The apple tree that grew for you and me,
I watched the apples falling one by one.
And as I recall the moment of them all,
the day I kissed your cheek and you were gone.
Now we are tall, and Christmas trees are small,
and you don’t ask the time of day.
But you and I, our love will never die,
but guess who’ll cry come first of May.
When I was small, and Christmas trees were tall,
Don’t ask me why, but time has passed us by,
someone else moved in from far away.
